Thursday, November 10, 2011 | 12:19 a.m.  -- We made it to Indianapolis safely!  The students are in their rooms getting ready for the night.  Wake up and breakfast is at 7:30 a.m.  We have a busy day ahead of us.  Look for more updates Thursday morning/afternoon.

Thursday, November 10, 2011 | 8:41 a.m. -- It's a bright, sunny day in Indi...just really cold!  Everyone is finishing up breakfast, and all band members are getting into uniform.  We are headed outside in a few minutes to stretch and warmup.  We will be leaving in about an hour for our performance at prelims.

Thursday, November 10, 2011 | 3:14 p.m. -- The band had a nice performance this afternoon.  Congratulations to all involved in the process.  On our way back to the hotel, we drove through some snow flakes.  It appears that winter is just around the corner!  We are currently at the hotel getting ready for the evening.  We are departing for a nice Italian dinner, then we are spending the evening outside on a "ghost tour."  Hopefully we'll stay warm!  It's supposed to be 25 degrees tonight!  Until later, have a good afternoon!

Thursday, November 10, 2011 | 10:37 p.m. -- We had a fantastic dinner at the Milano Inn.  Following dinner we had a really neat experience walking parts of downtown Indianapolis on a "ghost" tour.  What started out as a dry journey quickly changed into a wet one!  We encountered a short period of heavy snow.  The tours were very educational as a lot of history from the late 1800s and early 1900s was presented.  We arrived back at the hotel around 9:45 p.m.  Rooms are being checked now for our 11:00 lights out.  We are up bright and early tomorrow morning to head downtown for a Veterans Day celebration.  Good night!

Friday, November 11, 2011 | 4:37 p.m. -- What a great morning!  Our day started at the American Legion in downtown.  We visited war memorials and left a wreath to honors the veterans of each of those wars.  Following that, we performed the National Anthem and our parade tune, Troopers Salute.  We then headed to a rec center that offered miniture golf, go karts, games, food, and more.  Everyone seem to have a great time -- especially on the go karts!  We are now back at the hotel for some "hotel time" before we head to dinner at the Old Country Buffet.

Saturday, November 12, 2011 | 8:47 p.m. -- Sorry for not posting last night.  It was extremely late after we finished our end of season recap.  Everyone is doing well.  Right now, we are eating breakfast and packing up rooms to prepare for check out.  We are headed to the Indianapolis Children's Museum today followed by some time at Circle Centre Mall.  We will be departing for Ohio following the finals performance tonight at Lucas Oil Stadium.  At this point, we plan to arrive back in Norton as indicated on the itinerary.  We will have students call home if the time changes.  This is the last update before we arrive at home.  Have a great Saturday!
