In Memory of Ray Boggs

Ray passed away Tuesday evening (April 1, 2008) at Akron City Hospital due to complications after an extended illness of the liver. He was surrounded by family, coworkers and friends from the many programs that he touched and impacted. Ray was a talented individual who was admired and respected throughout the state of Ohio for his talents in the pageantry arts as a writer, instructor, judge and official. Many former students are now instructing colorguards throughout the United States. He will be missed by his third grade students at Portage Elementary School in Barberton, Ohio, his Collage Colorguard members and many former students in all of the schools he taught and instructed over the years. We will especially miss him here in the Norton band. Ray has been a part of the Norton Band family for the last ten years, and he has contributed so much of his talent and expertise to help not just the colorguard but also the entire band to be more successful. Our prayers are with his family and many friends. We love you Ray. Thank you and God Bless You.
