Noah Brown is the 11th Director of Bands at Norton High School. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Music Education degree in 2025.
During his time at Ohio State, he primarily studied jazz saxophone with Dr. Robert Brooks as well as Dr. Shawn Wallace, and classical saxophone with Dr. Michael Torres. Noah played in the Jazz Ensemble and several jazz combos, including the premier of the Video Game Soundtrack Combo at OSU. He also directed the Jazz Club Big Band, a low-commitment community band. Noah has had the pleasure of performing with artists such as Derek Brown, Dan Wilson, and Kellin Hanas.
Outside of his commitments at the university, Noah was also a 5-year participant in Drum Corps International. He marched with the Guardians in 2019 and with Music City Drum Corps serving as leadership in 2022 and 2023. He aged out with the Bluecoats in 2024, winning the DCI World Championship as well as several caption awards, including the Jim Ott Best Brass Performance. He also was a member of the Matrix World cymbal line for the 2022-2025 seasons. Noah currently serves on the brass staff at Rogues Hollow Regiment and the visual staff at Music City Drum Corps.
Outside of teaching, Noah enjoys going to jams, biking, and strategy games.
